{ N Family Fall Wonderland Shoot} - NY Family Photographer

This shoot was such a long time in the making, with moving, and schedule changes, and extremely uncooperative weather, it was the shoot that almost wasn't. Thankfully, we finally got one day of great weather and off we went! This family is so incredible too. A big bunch of seven who simply adore each other. They are sweet, and funny, and truly genuine. They radiate warmth and sweetness in a way that leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy for days.

This post truly isn't a teaser post. This is a session post. I could not part with not having some of these images up on the blog. I'm just too in love with them all. Pretty soon I will be switching over to all posts like these. A teaser will be posted on facebook, and most of the session will be blogged here when it's finished. It's simply becoming too hard to choose!

So without further ado, one of my longest posts ever, of one of my favorite sessions ever, of a beautiful family in syrupy golden sunset light.

{S Family Teasers} - Michigan Family Photographer

This post shouldn't really be called "teasers". It should be called "most of the session because Sara has too many favorites", but that is just too long for my title bar. (haha!) We had a beautiful day for this session. The sun was warm and golden, but even it couldn't outshine these happy kids. And they brought along their favorite stuffed animals to be part of their session too! I think one of my favorite things on Earth is when something special is incorporated into a shoot. It transforms the session into something that will truly be treasured for a lifetime. One day Rexy, Ellie, and Lamby will go into a box or on a shelf, and they won't be played with anymore. They might even turn into rags beyond recognition, but there will always be photos of a warm autumn evening when they roared, and flew, and played together. And that, I think, is truly priceless.

{P Family Teasers} -Michigan Family Photographer

I've been photographing this beautiful family for a few years now, and this shoot is definitely my favorite so far! This family practically lives at the zoo. They love going, and are there at least once a week, so it was great location for the session, because the kids just adore going and saying hello to all their favorite animals. And this time we were so very lucky, because this time, some of the animal came to say hello to us too! If you've been to the zoo, then you know seeing the polar bear actually swimming around is pretty special. And not only was he just swimming around, he seemed to want to be in our photos too! He posed, he looked down at them, he waved. It was magical. I feel so honored just to have been there to capture it. Just look at them!

And a stop to feed the duckies! (And ourselves, cause hey, the ducks don't need all of this good stuff, right?)

And another super sweet favorite. I just love how much these two love each other.

And we topped the session off with a fun carousel ride!

What a beautiful day we had for this shoot. The weather was warm, and the sun was glowing perfectly, and these guys were happy, and snuggly, and awesome. When this little baby was born, his older siblings were so enamored with him. You might remember one of the shots from his newborn session that really showcased that. And the older he gets, I think the more they adore him. He is happy and sweet, and if ever he was starting to get a little grumpy, all it took were some smiles and a special song they sing just for him, to put that grin right back on his face. And not just a grin, his whole face lights up, and his eyes sparkle. I think he knows just how much he is loved. That's why this first shot is one of my favorites. The sweet little star of the show!
